
Pirates Suffer Hard-Fought Setback to Villanova

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team finished with an 8-7 advantage in total shots, but was unable to overcome an early deficit and ultimately suffered a 1-0 BIG EAST Conference setback to Villanova on a warm and muggy night at Owen T. Carroll Field.
Turning Point
A Seton Hall (0-8-4, 0-2-2 BIG EAST) foul at the 13:02 mark awarded Villanova (6-7-0, 2-2-0 BIG EAST) a free kick from roughly 40 yards out on the left side. On the ensuing kick, Mandi Wilson lofted it into the box when the ball hit off a Seton Hall defender before it found the head of Amanda Vocelka who put it into the lower right side of the goal for the what proved to be the game winner.
