Pirates Cruise Past Saint Peter's, Montclair State

South Orange, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's swimming & diving kicked off the 2016-17 season with a strong start, delivering victories over both Saint Peter's (161-89) and Montclair State (167-106) Friday at Imperatore Natatorium.
Ten different Pirates won events on the day, including a pair of freshmen who finished first in three races. Freshman Tyler Kauth (Wall, N.J.) took first in both the 100 and 200 backstroke events, finishing the 100 in 51.94 and the 200 in 1:50.98. Joshua Tosoni (Arnold, Md.) delivered wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events, clocking in the 100 at 57.61 and the 200 in 2:06.56. The duo also teamed with sophomores Kyle Nash (Katy, Texas) and Dakota Williams (Noank, Conn.) to win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:34.34.Â
Nash and Williams also scored singles victories. Nash was the winner of the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:53.76, and Williams was the victor in the 50 freestyle, coming in with a time of 21.61.
