Â
DePaul (6-4-2, 3-0-0) didn't take long to assert itself in the match. The Blue Demons scored the first goal just over seven minutes into the contest when Abby Reed took a rebound off the crossbar and kicked the ball to the left of a diving Anna McLean (Thunder Bay, Ontario).   DePaul struck again with only one minute remaining in the first half on a breakaway to take a commanding 2-0 advantage at the half.
Â
The Blue Demons scored again in both the 48th and 60th minutes to jump ahead 4-0.Â
Â
Seton Hall (4-6-1, 0-3-0) got on the board thanks to Stirpe's penalty kick in the 67th minute. DePaul was called for a handball in the box, which set up the Pirates' tally.
