Go has been highly consistent and is currently tied for seventh among 93 individual golfers with a 1-under-par, 70-71-141. He trails the individual leader, East Tennessee State's Adrian Meronk by three strokes.
Collectively, Seton Hall shaved 18 strokes off its first round score in Monday's second round. The Pirates jumped from 13th place to fifth place with 18 holes left to play. Seton Hall is 14-over-par with a 300-282-582 and trails the team leader and host, N.C. State, by 16 strokes. The Pirates' 282 was the second-lowest single-round score of the day. Their 18 stroke jump was by far the largest.
Leading the Pirates rise up the leader board was a pair of second round 68's by Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) and Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.). Snouffer is currently only one stroke behind Go at even-par and is tied for 12th place overall. He has shot a 74-68-142. Wilson shaved 14 strokes off his first round score and is currently tied for 42nd overall. He is 8-over-par with an 82-68-150.
JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) is currently 11-over-par with a 76-77-153 through two rounds.
Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) was five strokes better in round two and is currently 13-over-par with an 80-75-155.
The fifth annual Wolfpack Intercollegiate is being played at the par-71, Laurel Hills Golf Club. The stunning layout has been designed by Arnold Palmer and the design team at Arnold Palmer Design Company (including Erik Larsen and Brandon Johnson, both NC State graduates). With breathtaking views of the Raleigh skyline and the award winning Centennial Campus, the golf course has become a favorite in the golf community. The course has unique features that set it apart from other courses in the region. It represents the evolution in golf course architecture towards sustainability; a golf course that fits into and protects the natural environment. As with Bethpage Black, Bandon Dunes, Whistling Straits, and Pine Valley, it leans heavily on traditional Scottish designs while accommodating the natural landscape.
In addition to Seton Hall and two teams from N.C. State, the 18-team field also includes Boston College, Bowling Green, Campbell, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Georgia Southern, George Washington, Lipscomb, Loyola (Md.), Rhode Island, Temple, UNC-Greensboro, USC-Upstate, Western Carolina and Wofford.
The field will play two rounds on Monday and a final 18 holes on Tuesday. Complete results of each day's events will be available at SHUpirates.com.
