
Harper Leads MGolf to Fourth at Temple

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, PA. - Senior JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) is the individual leader following a first round, 68, and has led the Seton Hall men's golf team to a fourth place team standing with 18 holes remaining at the Temple Invitational.
Harper fired a 2-under-par, 68, and leads Brandon Matthews of Temple and Jack Musgrave of Georgetown by one stroke entering Sunday's final round.
Collectively, Seton Hall shot a 14-over-par, 294, on Saturday and trails the team leader and host, Temple, by seven strokes. Hartford and Georgetown, The Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, are tied for second place at 11-over-par.
Junior Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) and sophomore Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) are currently tied for 23rd place following a pair of 5-over-par, 75's, in round one.
Sophomore Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) is only one stroke behind Snouffer and Go and is tied for 35th place following a 6-over-par, 76.
Junior Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) is currently 10-over-par following a first round, 80.
Junior Kevin Sanislo (Whippany, N.J.), competing as an individual, shot an 18-over-par, 88.
The Temple Invitational is being played at the 6,670-yard par 70 North Course at Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. The two-day event, which will take place this Saturday, October 11th to Sunday, October 12th, will include 13 teams from various conferences.
Philmont's North Course has hosted many prestigious events including the Nike Tour (now the Web.com Tour) in the mid-90s and local qualifiers for the US Open and US Amateur. It is a true classic with tree lined fairways and firm, fast greens.
Besides Temple and Seton Hall, schools competing in the Invitational include: Binghamton, Brown, Cornell, Drexel, Fordham, Hartford, La Salle, Penn, Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's.
