
MGolf Takes on Binghamton Invite

APALACHIN, N.Y. - The Seton Hall men's golf team will continue its fall season with the 2012 Binghamton University Fall Invitational at the Links at Hiawatha Landing, Oct. 7-8.
Sixteen teams will compete in the two-round event on the par-72, 7,104-yard golf course. In addition to the Pirates and two teams from Binghamton, the tournament will feature competitors from Bucknell, Cornell, Colgate, Hofstra, Fordham, Mount St. Mary's, Rider, St. Bonaventure, Saint Peter's, Towson, the University of Ottawa, the University of Laval and Wagner.
The field will compete for 18 holes on Sunday and a final 18 holes on Monday. The first group of schools begin with tee times starting at 9:00 am on Sunday. A second group will begin at 2:00 pm.
The Binghamton Invitational is a new event for the Pirates and represents the fourth tournament of the 2012 fall season for Seton Hall.
The Pirates are coming off an 11th place tie at the 2012 Hartford Hawks Invitational on September 25. Sophomore Derrick Kim (New City, N.Y.) led the team with a 12-over-par, 77-74-77-228, showing. The performance tied him for 27th place among 89 golfers. Kim currently leads the Pirates this fall with a 75.38 scoring average.
