She also serves as the Tutor Coordinator for the Charles W. Doehler Academic Center for Excellence; hiring, training and managing the tutor program for the student-athletes.
Leoni works closely with each student-athlete by monitoring their academic progress and guiding them through their respective courses of study. She keeps them on track to earning their degree by instilling time-management and study skill strategies. With the ultimate goal of empowering each student-athlete to become and independent learner, Leoni strives to provide tools for student-athletes to be successful in the classroom and later on in life.
Also serving as a Center for Academic Success Advisor, Leoni teaches first-year student-athletes in three sections of a one-credit University Life course that reviews time management skills, diversity and inclusion, collegial communication, career readiness and other topics important for first-year student-athletes to learn.
Leoni came to Seton Hall by way of The University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she served as an Academic Advisor, Tutor Coordinator and Hybrid Learning Specialist for student-athletes for two years.
A New Jersey native, Leoni holds a master’s degree in education, specifically in College Student Affairs from Rutgers University and an undergraduate B.A. in Communications from Rutgers as well where she was a student-athlete herself. She currently resides in Raritan, NJ with her husband, Bryan, son, Caleb, and their dogs, Tucker & Winston.
