OKATIE, S.C. – Junior Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales) shot a 5-over-par, 77, to lead the Seton Hall women's golf team in the final round of the 2026 BIG EAST Championship on Monday. The six-seeded Pirates finished in fifth place.
Tran saved her best round of the tournament for round three, using back-to-back birdies on the 13th and 14th holes to fuel a 5-over-par, 77. The performance represents a six-stroke improvement from her second-round score. For the tournament, Tran was 30-over-par with an 86-83-77-246.
As a team, the Pirates were not immune to the wild fluctuations of scores all weekend. After high scores across the field in Saturday's first round, performance was dramatically improved in the second round on Sunday. The Hall alone, was 19 strokes better on Sunday. Monday's cool and windy weather, however, saw scores go back up similar to round one. Seton Hall carded a 28-over-par, 316, in round three. The Pirates were able to hold onto fifth place as Creighton finished one stroke behind in sixth.
As expected, after leading by just four strokes going after round two, Xavier ran away with its seventh-consecutive title in round three. The Musketeers shot 7-over-par for the tournament to best Georgetown by 22 strokes.
Marta Aguilar (Casares Malaga, Spain) was tied for the individual lead after 36 holes, but her title hopes were dashed only two holes into round three. The sophomore ran into some poor luck on the second hole, and carded a nine on the par-5. After six birdies in round two, she mustered must one today, and finished with an 11-over-par, 83. Still, she was the top Seton Hall competitor for a second-straight year at the BIG EAST Tournament, tying for seventh place with a 9-over-par, 73-69-83-225.
Xavier's Madison Reemsnyder won the individual title by nine strokes after an impressive 5-under-par in the final round.
Freshman Isabella Stewart (Wicklow, Ireland) impressed in her first-ever BIG EAST Championship. She had 12 pars in route to a 6-over-par, 78, in round three. For the tournament, she was Seton Hall's second-best golfer, finishing with an 18-over-par, 80-76-78-234.
Junior Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) closed out her BIG EAST Championship with an 11-over-par, 83, in round three. For the tournament, she was 22-over-par with an 80-75-83-238.
Understandably, emotions were running high for Seton Hall's two seniors. Anne Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) was just 1-over-par on the back-nine and finished with her second-straight 6-over-par, 78. For the tournament, Ekman was 24-over-par with an 84-78-78-240.
Seton Hall's other senior, Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia) had the top putt of the tournament for the Pirates. She rattled home a birdie on the 11th hole from 40 feet away in round three. In her final collegiate round, she was 11-over-par with an 83. For the tournament, Todorovic shot a 35-over-par, 84-84-83-251.
