Kosinski, Dupuis Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – After a 4-1 week where the Pirates secured their first series win over UConn since 2013, Karissa Dupuis and Lea Kosinski earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Dupuis had the best week of her career in the circle, amassing a 3-0 record with 11 strikeouts and a 2.84 ERA across her three starts. After throwing five innings of one-run, one-hit ball in a win over Wagner midweek, Dupuis started both of the Pirates' wins against UConn. In the opening game, she pitched 5.2 innings, allowing one run and striking out five. In the series rubber match, she pitched the Pirates' first complete game of the season, allowing five runs across seven innings to give The Hall an 8-5 win.
Kosinski, who started every game this past week, found her rhythm at the plate after a slow start to the season. The graduate student hit .583 BA with no strikeouts, one home run and four RBI over the five-game sample. Her home run, which came during the second game against UConn, was her first home run since March 18, 2023, against UConn.
