South Orange, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's tennis team celebrated its five seniors in a pre-match ceremony before dropping its final non-conference match of the year, 4-0 to Fordham, Wednesday on the Campus Courts in Ivy Hill Park.Â
Honored were Tamsin Hart, Aili Hietala, Hili Kronzon, Arabella Moen and Paige Wise. Wise was unable to be in attendance.
"I'm so happy that it was warm enough today to be able to celebrate our seniors on our home courts," said head coach James Enzler. "They fought well and gave great effort out there today, which I was happy to see."
The teams played the clinch rule, and in an effort to ensure that seniors competed, the order of the singles played were mixed, resulting in the No. 1 and No. 5 matches not taking place.
Seton Hall now turns its attention to the BIG EAST Championship, which will be contested April 17-20 in Cayce, S.C. The Pirates will learn their first-round opponent on Monday.
