How it Happened – Game 1 vs Wisconsin
The Badgers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead over The Hall in the first inning after a lead-off double turned into two runs. The Pirates struggled to find an answer behind the plate in the first two innings, but found their chance in the third. Andrea Perez reached third base with two outs after a lead-off single, but could not find a way to go the final 60 feet to home plate.
Wisconsin immediately responded in the fourth by adding another run, but the Pirates converted a lead-off walk from Taylor Hill to get on the board. They still trailed 3-1, however, after four innings. The Badgers collected another run in the sixth, before Hannah Alexander plated Katey Brennan in the sixth to keep the Pirates' deficit at two, 4-2. In the seventh, however, Wisconsin scored another three runs. The Hall could not find a response in the bottom of the frame, and the Pirates fell to Wisconsin 7-2.

How it Happened - Game 2 vs Omaha
After a 1-2-3 first inning from Kyra Kreuscher, the Pirates struck first on offense. With two outs and two runners on-base, Erin Howard singled through the right side to drive home Kelsey Carr and give the Seton Hall the early 1-0 lead.

Omaha would respond, quickly, however. A lead-off single in the second lead to two two-out singles that scored a pair of runs, allowing the Mavericks to find themselves with a 2-1 lead over The Hall. A chance to response arrived in the second inning after Andrea Perez and Amber Johnson landed in scoring position with two outs in the inning. A groundout to the pitcher would end that inning, however, leaving the Pirates looking for another response on offense.
After the Mavericks plated another four runs in the sixth inning, the Pirates we're running out of time to find an answer. With one out and everything to play for, the Pirates loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh with only one out. The Pirates did not manage to plate any of them, however, and The Hall fell 6-1.
