Cumberland, R.I. - The Seton Hall women's tennis got a pair of singles victories from Aina Plana Ventosa and Arabella Moen, but the Pirates ultimately lost a 5-2 decision to Bryant Friday at Fore Court.
"Overall we played well, just didn't play consistent tennis at the right times," said Seton Hall head coach James Enzler. "We know what we need to work on though, and I have faith this team is going to regroup for tomorrow's match against Providence and bring forth their best effort."
Plana Ventosa is continuing her career-best season in her final season as a Pirate. She cruised past Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz in the No. 3 position with a 6-2, 6-1 victory to improve to 10-0 in spring singles.
Moen picked up her fourth singles in win in her last five tries after she bested Lisa Marie Dugec at the No. 5 position, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0(5).Â
Seton Hall will face Providence in BIG EAST action Saturday afternoon in Warwick, R.I.
