
Pirates Climb Again; Finish 10th at Rivertowne Invite

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Senior Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) shot a 1-over-par, 73, in round three to lift the Seton Hall women's golf team to a 10th place tie at the Rivertowne Invitational on Tuesday.

Busetto had four birdies and nine pars in route to the top Pirate round of the day. For the tournament, Busetto tied for 34th place with an 8-over-par, 77-74-73-224.Â

As a team, the Pirates climbed the leaderboard for a second straight day. The Hall shot an 11-over-par, 299, in round three. They tied for 10th with Morehead State with a 33-over-par, 304-294-299-897. High Point won the team title at 5-over-par for the three-round event.

The top Pirate individual for the tournament was Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.). The graduate student used 16 pars to fuel a 2-over-par, 74, on Tuesday. For the tournament, Fouratt tied for 26th among 103 golfers with a 6-over-par, 72-76-74-222.

Junior Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy) also shot a 2-over-par, 74, on Tuesday thanks to three birdies and 11 pars. For the tournament, she tied for 39th place with a 9-over-par, 77-74-74-225.

Sophomore Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) shot a 6-over-par, 78, in round three. For the three-day event, she tied for 45th place with a 10-over-par, 78-70-78-226.

Rounding out the Pirates' lineup was Anne-Sofie Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark). The freshman shot a 15-over-par, 87, on Tuesday. For the tournament, she was 35-over-par with a 79-85-87-251.

Competing as an individual, freshman Lara Todorovic (Belgrade, Serbia) finished her tournament at 31-over-par with an 83-81-83-247.

Situated among scenic marshlands and majestic live oaks with thirteen holes playing along the Wando River and Horlbeck Creek, this 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature course features exceptional year-round playing conditions with five sets of tees from 5100 yards to 7200 yards.  This is a true shot-maker's course; boasting tree-lined fairways, generous landing areas to setup approach shots, and multi-tiered greens guarded by bunkers and water. The fairways are ample, and the greens roll true. They are kept at a medium speed, befitting a resort course yet approachable enough for public play.Â
