DELMAR, N.Y. – Senior Kasumi Tran (Swansea, Wales) shot a 4-over-par, 74, in the opening round of the UAlbany Invitational to lead the Seton Hall women's golf team to a third place tie entering Monday's final round.

Despite high winds and steady rain due to the remnants of Hurricane Isaias, scores were elevated throughout the field, but fortunately all teams were able to get 18 holes in.

As a team, The Hall shot a 25-over-par, 305, and is tied for third place with LIU entering Monday's final round. Williams College is the team leader at 19-over-par. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, St. John's, is currently three strokes behind the Pirates.
