The graduate student shot an even-par, 72, in round three as the Pirates broke their record for lowest BIG EAST tournament score.
Bechadergue channeled her emotion and the result was brilliant. She had no blemishes through her first 13 holes on Saturday. She birdied the fourth and sixth holes, before bogeying holes 14 and 15 late. For her final round, Bechadergue shot the lowest Pirate round of the tournament, an even-par, 72.
She placed ninth among all individual golfers for the tournament with an 8-over-par, 74-78-72-224. It's Bechadergue's team-leading fifth Top-10 finish in 10 tournaments during the 2021-22 year.
As a team, the Pirates finally showed in round three the quality caliber of golf we've become accustomed to. The Hall shot the lowest third-round score in the field, a 6-over-par, 294. The effort enabled the Pirates to hop over Creighton to finish in third place in the final standings with a 38-over-par, 306-302-294-902.
Seton Hall's 902 is the lowest BIG EAST Championship final score in program history, besting the 904 shot at Gateway in Fort Myers last year. The Pirates' 294 in the third round today, tied the Pirates' lowest single-round record at the BIG EAST Championship.
Xavier won the team title at 14-over-par, while Georgetown placed second at 28-over-par. It's the Musketeers third straight BIG EAST title. The Pirates won three in a row from 2014 to 2016.
Senior Sarah Fouratt (Santa Maria, Calif.) was the top performer for the Pirates for the tournament. She had a strong final round too, using birdies on the 16th and 17th holes to fuel a 1-over-par, 73, on Saturday. For the tournament, she tied for seventh place overall with a 7-over-par, 74-76-73-223. It's her third Top-10 finish of the year and the fifth of her career.
Fouratt finished behind a trio of golfers for the individual title who all shot 3-under-par. Despite her graduation, Fouratt announced she will return for a fifth year of golf with the Pirates next fall.
Freshman Ana Sarrias Pro (Cadiz, Spain) had a remarkable start to her final round, recording four birdies and shooting 3-under-par on the front nine. Although her performance slipped a bit on the back nine, she settled with a quality 2-over-par, 74, in round three. Sarrias Pro improved every day and completed her first career BIG EAST Tournament in 12th place with a solid 11-over-par, 78-75-74-227.
Ludovica Busetto (Padova, Italy) had a major improvement in round three. The junior had no blemishes in her round through the first 11 holes, which included a birdie on the seventh hole. She hit a couple of bumps on the back nine, and finished with a double-bogey on the 18th hole, but still carded a quality 3-over-par, 75… five shots better than her first two rounds.
For the tournament, Busetto tied for 22nd place with a 19-over-par, 80-80-75-235.
Ginevra Zavagli (Rome, Italy) struggled on the front nine, but birdied the 13th and 15th holes in route to an even-par back nine. For the day, she was 5-over-par with a 77. Zavagli finished the three-round event tied for 15th place with a 14-over-par, 80-73-77-230.

THE COURSE
Callaway Resort & Gardens' golf pedigree stretches back more than six decades to 1949, when architect J.B. McGovern, with considerable input from Cason Callaway, designed the first nine holes of the Lake View Course. Completed and opened in 1951, Lake View perfectly captured Mr. Callaway's vision that "playing golf should be a pleasant experience in beautiful surroundings."
The Callaways understood the beauty and importance of golf. Mr. Callaway was on the founding Board of Trustees of the Georgia State Golf Association. Almost from the beginning, the Gardens served as a competition venue, with Jack Key of Columbus, Ga. winning Callaway's first-ever tournament, the 1951 Men's One-day Golf Tourney.
This challenging, but playable layout on the Mountain View course will test your strategic and shot-making abilities, just as it did for PGA Tour pros when it hosted the Buick Challenge from 1991 to 2002. The list of winners is a who's-who of Tour stars, with champions including Davis Love III, David Duval, Steve Elkington, David Toms, and Jonathan Byrd.

Here's a look back at our final round today. The end result wasn't what we hoped for, but we finished strong and we're proud of our Pirates.#HALLin ⛳🏴☠️⛳ Special thanks to @keith_egan10 pic.twitter.com/zkg0AF6zLS
