
DePaul Tops Seton Hall on Sunday, 2-0

Chicago, Ill. - The Seton Hall women's soccer team out shot DePaul in the second half but the Pirates couldn't overcome the Blue Demons as they defeated The Hall, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon.
The Pirates put up eight of their 14 shots after halftime and half of those attempts were on goal.
How It Happened
Seton Hall was faced with an offensive onslaught by DePaul in the early goings of the game and the Blue Demons' pressure was rewarded when they drew a Pirate hand ball in the six-yard box in the 16th minute. They converted the penalty kick and took an early 1-0 lead.
After the goal, sophomore Chiara Pucci (Munich, Germany), junior Skyler Matusz (Kearny, N.J.) and freshman Sarah Mitchell (Sydney, Australia) each were able to get shots on goal but all were stopped successfully.
The Pirates put up eight of their 14 shots after halftime and half of those attempts were on goal. The Blue Demons however put the game out of reach in the 79th minute with their second tally of the contest. A strong header attempt by sophomore Rachel Gerrie (Littleton, Colo.) in the 80th minute was the Pirates' final attempt on goal of the afternoon as DePaul went away with the 2-0 win.
