
Pirates Deliver Dominant Weekend Performance

New Providence, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's tennis team racked up three victories over the weekend without surrendering a single point, as the Pirates registered 7-0 home wins over BIG EAST opponents Butler and Providence on Friday and Saturday, before rounding out the weekend with a 4-0 victory at Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday.
Doubles partners Anicka Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia) and Regina Pitts (Los Angeles, Calif.) were dominant, and went 3-0 at the No. 1 flight. Meanwhile, juniors Melody Taal (Ede, Netherlands) and Michal Matson (Christchurch, New Zealand) went 3-0 at the No. 3 position.
In singles play, Pitts did not drop a single set over the weekend, finishing 3-0 at the No. 2 flight. At the top singles position, Fajnorova also finished a perfect 3-0.
Looking ahead, Seton Hall hosts defending BIG EAST champion St. John's on Saturday, March 30 at 2:30 p.m. at Murray Hill Tennis & Fitness Center in New Providence.
