
Pirates Suffer 1-0 Setback vs. Monmouth

South Orange, N.J. – A Monmouth strike in the 19th minute proved to be the difference as the Seton Hall women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback to the Hawks on Monday night.
Turning Point
Despite a nearly even margin on the offensive attack, the lone tally of the night came when Monmouth's (4-2-0) Alli DeLuca and Jill Conklin made a run up the right side in the 19th minute, and sent a well-timed cross into the box where it found the head of Madie Gibson, who placed in on the upper ride side of the goal.
The Pirates (2-3-1) had three shots and a pair of corners in the second half, but were unable to net the equalizer.
