Fajnorova Lifts Pirates to Victory

LOS ANGELES – Junior Anicka Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia) delivered a clutch 7-6, 6-7, 6-2 victory as Seton Hall women's tennis team came away with a 4-3 triumph over Youngstown State on Monday.
Senior Luize Strike (Riga, Latvia) and sophomore Melody Taal (HALL) picked up a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, while sophomore Michal Matson (St. Albans, New Zealand) and senior Katie Kim (Honolulu, Hawaii) paired for a win at the No. 3 position to pick up the crucial doubles point.
Sophomore Anniek Jansen contributed a win at No. 6 singles, and with a victory at the top flight by Strike, the Pirates and Penguins were tied at 3-3. Next, Fajnorova rallied to defeat Youngstown State's Anastasiia Khokhlova at the No. 3 position to clinch the win for The Hall.
