
WGolf in 2nd Place After Two Rounds at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, PA. - Senior Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) fired a 2-over-par, 72, in Saturday's second round to pace the Seton Hall women's golf team to a second place team standing with 18 holes remaining at the 2014 Bucknell Invitational.
McClure shaved five strokes off her first round score and currently is 9-over-par with a 77-72-149. She trails Rutgers' Emily Mills by three strokes for the individual lead.
Collectively, Seton Hall shot an impressive 301 in round two and currently trails Rutgers by five strokes entering Sunday's play. The Pirates are 46-over-par with a 305-301-606. They have a 13-stroke lead on William & Mary, the third place team.
"I'm pleased with the overall effort although I know that we're capable of taking it up a notch," said head coach Sara Doell. "Cassie's (Pantelas) first round and Erin's second round were particularly impressive. We're still within striking distance. I'm excited to see what tomorrow brings."
McKenzie Cutter (Waldorf, Md.) is also currently in the mix for a top-10 finish. The senior is currently eighth with a 13-over-par, 78-75-153. Only one stroke behind Cutter is junior Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.). She is tied for ninth at 14-over-par with a 76-78-154.
Senior Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) had a rough first round, but bounced back to shave off five strokes in round two. She is currently tied for 16th at 17-over-par with an 81-76-157.
Freshman Cassie Pantelas (Canton, Ohio) had the Pirates' low score following round one, but struggled in round two. Still, the Pirate newcomer is just 19-over-par with a 74-85-159.
Junior Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio) and freshman Macky Fouse (Aliquippa, Pa.) both also made the trip and are competing as individuals. Tenhundfeld is currently tied for 18th at 18-over-par with a 78-80-158, while Fouse is 24-over-par with an 82-82-164.
The three-round event is taking place at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Club with two rounds commencing on Saturday and a final round on Sunday. Including Seton Hall and host Bucknell, 14 teams are vying for the title at the season-opening tournament including Cleveland State, Columbia, Lehigh, Kutztown, McDaniel, Niagara, Radford, Rutgers, Siena, St. Francis (N.Y.), William & Mary and Youngstown State.
