
Pantelas Helps WGolf Jump Two Spots To 4th

Collectively, Seton Hall shaved 11 strokes off its first round score, firing an 11-over-par, 295, in round two. The Pirates' score was tied for the top score in the second round and they enter the final round trailing the leader, Yale, by seven strokes. Xavier and Harvard are tied for second, six strokes ahead of The Hall. Currently, the Pirates are 33-over-par with a 306-295-601.
Pantelas' 69 is the lowest round of her young career and is her first sub-par round as a collegian. She shaved 13 strokes off her first round score and is currently tied for 15th place among 89 individual golfers.
"Cassie was excellent today," said head coach Sara Doell. "This is what makes our 2014-15 team so special. On any given day, anyone on our roster can be our best golfer. Today it was Cassie. We moved up two spots in the standings today and I look forward to moving up more tomorrow."
Junior Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.) is still the Pirates' leader and is tied for third place overall following a second round, 3-over-par, 74. At 3-over-par with a 71-74-145, she trails the individual leader, Xavier's Shane Crutchfield by four strokes.
"It was yet another clutch round by Karlie," Doell said. "She has really established herself as a reliable low-score this fall.
Senior Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) shaved three strokes off her first round score and is currently tied for 15th place with a 9-over-par, 77-74-151.
Senior Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) is tied for 34th place following two rounds with a 13-over-par, 77-78-155.
McKenzie Cutter (Waldorf, Md.) was three shot better in her second round. Currently, she is 17-over-par, with an 81-78-159, and is tied for 54th place overall.
Junior Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio) and freshman Macky Fouse (Aliquippa, Pa.) have joined the Pirates at Yale and are competing as individuals. Tenhundfeld shaved four strokes off her first round score and is currently tied for 19th place overall with a 78-74-152. Fouse was two strokes better on Saturday and is 34-over-par with an 89-87-176.

In addition to Seton Hall, the field this weekend features two Yale teams and 14 other teams, including Albany, Boston College, Boston University, Brown, Central Connecticut State, Dartmouth, Harvard, LIU-Brooklyn, Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, West Florida and Xavier.
