McClure, Kruse Pacing WGolf at Bucknell Invite

LEWISBURG, PA. - Junior Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) is tied for the individual lead and has led the Seton Hall women's golf team to third place following two rounds at the 2013 Bucknell Invitational.
Collectively, the Pirates are 64-over-par with a 313-311-624 and currently trail the team leader, William & Mary, by 12 strokes. Seton Hall has a nine stroke lead on Siena and Bucknell, which are tied for fourth place among a field of 17 teams.
McClure is chasing history, having never recorded a top-five finish in her first two collegiate years. Twice, she has tied for seventh place at a tournament. Currently, McClure is tied for first with Siena's Victoria Nguyen at 8-over-par with a consistent, 74-74-148.
Teammate Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) is only two strokes behind McClure and Nguyen and is currently tied for fourth place among 90 individual golfers with a 10-over-par, 77-73-150.
"I'm really happy with the performance of Erin and Ali today," said head coach Sara Doell. "Both were strong all day and both were even able to hole out for eagles. Either is very capable of winning the tournament tomorrow."
Sophomore Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.) is in 40th place overall following a 23-over-par, 79-84-163, while classmate Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio) is only two strokes behind, tied for 41st place, with a 25-over-par, 83-82-165.
McKenzie Cutter (Waldorf, Md.) rounded out the team scoring over the first two rounds and is tied for 44th place at 27-over-par with an 85-82-167.
Competing as individuals, Samantha Massei (Allen, Texas) is 38-over-par with an 87-91-178, while Hannah Basalone (Brea, Calif.) is 48-over-par with a 92-96-188.
"I'm happy with third place, but clearly we didn't play our best golf today and we have a lot of work to do tomorrow if we're going to move to the top of the leader board," Doell said.
