
Women's Golf in Eighth Place at Princeton Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's golf team is currently in eighth place following two rounds of the 2013 Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club.
Seton Hall is 70-over-par with a 335-311-646 after two rounds and trails the team leader, Harvard by 64 strokes entering the final round on Sunday.
A small field of only eight teams are taking on the par-72, 6,131-yard course. In addition to Seton Hall and host Princeton, participating schools include: Columbia, Delaware, Harvard, Lehigh, Penn and fellow BIG EAST member, St. John's. The teams will play one final round on Sunday with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m.
"Our first round was very disappointing, but I was encouraged to see us shave 24 strokes off our score in round two," said head coach Sara Doell. "We have an uphill climb tomorrow, but I'm optimistic we can make a run."
Junior Erin McClure (Tucson, Ariz.) fired an even-par, 72, in round two to pace the Pirates. For the tournament, she's 10-over-par, with an 82-72-154 and in 16th place among 51 individual golfers.
Sophomore Karlie Zabrosky (Erie, Pa.) also improved mightily in round two. Currently she's 13-over-par with an 82-75-157 and tied for 25th place overall.
Junior Ali Kruse (Overland Park, Kan.) is currently tied for 40th overall with a 21-over-par, 84-81-165. McKenzie Cutter (Waldorf, Md.) is 26-over-par with an 87-83-170, while Megan Tenhundfeld (Loveland, Ohio) is 27-over-par with an 87-84-171.
Senior Hannah Basalone (Brea, Calif.), competing as an individual, is currently tied for 33rd place overall following her 16-over-par, 81-79-160.
