SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall tennis head coach Greg Wyzykowski announced the signing of Anna Guryanova (Moscow, Russia) to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Pirates this fall.
A highly-ranked junior singles and doubles player, Guryanova has played in over 80 of the biggest national tournaments in Russia, including the finals of the National Cup (main-draw of Top 16) and National Championships. She annually participates in 18-20 national and international tennis tournaments and has won 41 finals and 21 tournaments in both singles and doubles. Guryanova's biggest accomplishment was advancing to the finals in six straight weeks of competition, taking home four titles in that span.
"It will be a pleasure to have Anna join our team this fall," Wyzykowski said. "The proven success she has demonstrated versus students already successful in college tennis plus her success against players on the ITF/WTA level will be a big help to our program. I am looking forward to a successful career as a Pirate."
