
Georgetown Takes Out Tennis, 6-1

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Seton Hall fell to Georgetown, 6-1, on Sunday. The Pirates drop to 5-13 overall and 2-7 in BIG EAST matches.
Freshman Pui Wing Sher (Shui Wai, Hong Kong) pulled off a huge upset in No. 1 singles to secure SHU's lone point. After dropping the first set, Sher bounced back to defeat Stephanie Wetmore by scores of 6-2 and 10-4. Wetmore is a graduate transfer student from the 2010 National Champions UCLA. As a junior, Wetmore was ranked top 100 in the world by the ITF.
Freshman Rocio Portela (Demetrio Vega Baja, Puerto Rico) played dropped a tight first set to Lauren Greco in No. 2 singles, but had to retire due to injury early in the second frame.
The Pirates are back in action on Friday, April 15 at Connecticut.
