Freshman Pui Wing Sher (Shui Wai, Hong Kong) had her six match win-streak snapped by Amy Zhang of Rutgers. Sher narrowly fell in the first set, 7-5, but rallied to even the match after winning set two, 6-3. Since the match had already been decided, the third set was played as a 10-point tiebreak. Sher ultimately fell, 10-8, to Zhang, who has not lost a home singles match in her three-plus years with the Scarlet Knights.
The rest of the squad fell in straight sets.
