
Tennis Earns First BIG EAST Win; Edges Pittsburgh, 4-3

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Seton Hall tennis team topped Pittsburgh, 4-3, to earn its first conference win of the season on Saturday. The Pirates (4-10, 1-4) will next head to Philadelphia, Pa. for a non-conference tilt against St. Joseph's.
Freshman Pui Wing Sher (Shui Wai, Hong Kong) won her sixth straight match in No. 1 singles, easily defeating Elizabeth Adams 6-0, 6-1.
Junior Elizabeth Verow (Barnt Green, England) won in three sets over Kimmy Borza in the No. 4 position. Sophomore Karina Cordero (Maracay Estado Aragua, Venezuela) and junior Michelle Weerasinghe (Edina, Minn.) each won in straight sets.
