WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Seton Hall tennis team lost to Binghamton, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon. The Pirates fall to 1-2 on the young season.
In No. 1 singles freshman Pui Wing Sher (Shui Wai, Hong Kong) played a tight match against nationally ranked Anna Edelman. After dropping the first set, 6-4, Sher forced a tiebreak in the second, but ultimately fell, 7-5, in the extra session.
Senior Belfin Sunbul (Izmir, Turkey) also forced a tiebreak in set two of her No. 3 singles contest, but suffered the same result as Sher, dropping a straight set decision to Lauren Bates.
SHU opens up BIG EAST play this weekend at Syracuse on Friday, February 11 at 4:00 p.m.
