SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Seton Hall tennis team dropped its BIG EAST opener to Syracuse, 7-0, on Friday afternoon. The Pirates (1-3, 0-1) are back in action when they take on Cincinnati tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in the Salt City.
Freshman Pui Wing Sher (Shui Wai, Hong Kong) put up the toughest fight of the day in No. 1 singles, but was unable to come up with a team point, falling to Alessondra Parra 6-2, 6-4.
The No. 3 pairing of senior Belfin Sunbul (Izmir, Turkey) and sophomore Karina Cordero (Maracay Estado Aragua, Venezuela) had the closest doubles result, losing 8-4 to the duo of Aleah Marrow and Christina Tang.
