SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall women's tennis coach Greg Wyzykowski has announced that Pui Wing Sher (Hong Kong, China) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play with the Pirates this upcoming fall.
"Pui Wing is as strong in the class room as she is on the tennis court," stated Wyzykowski. "She is a determined, athletic young lady with successful doubles experience that will help our program move forward. We look forward to her joining us."
Sher represented her country in the 2009 Fed Cup, an international tennis competition held annually similar to the Davis Cup. She was ranked as high as eighth in Hong Kong's national rankings, and has had success with limited play in ITF tournaments as a junior and also on the women's circuit. In addition, Sher won a doubles title at the 2008 Chinese Recreation Club Open, which is the most prestigious tournament in Hong Kong.
