
Seton Hall Tennis Rolls by Towson, 4-3

ANNAPOLIS, M.D. - After a competitive competition, Seton Hall's tennis team came out on top with their second win of the season beating Towson 4-3. Their overall record is 2-3.
Senior Denise Liebschner (Weinboehla, Germany), earned a hard fought win against Lauren Cloonan in No.1 singles (3-6, 6-2, 6-0). Liebschner struggled in her first set, but shook it off to finish strong in her last two sets.
Junior Belfin Sunbul (Izmir, Turkey) was contending to get her third straight win of the season, however she fell short to Andrea Samlin (6-3, 6-4) in a tough match.Freshman Karina Cordero (Maracay Estado Aragua, Venezuela) is continuing to play stronger each match, and the results today prove it. Cordero was triumphant in her match against Cassandra Ng 6-2, 6-1.
Junior Slavina Kaplanska (Sofia, Bulgaria) stepped up in No. 6 singles after Kilarski was unable to continue due to injury in doubles competition. Kaplanska was a big part of the team's success, winning her match 6-1, 6-4.
In doubles competition Seton Hall took two of the three matches. In No.1 doubles, Sunbul and Liebschner defeated Cloonan and Samlin 8-3. Weerasinghe and Cordero earned an 8-4 win over Carr and White in No. 3 doubles.
Seton Hall Women's Tennis will play another match at the Naval Academy tomorrow, February 28th, against Navy.
