
Tennis Concludes Play at West Point Invitational

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Seton Hall tennis team finished up competition at the West Point Eastern Tennis Invitational on Sunday. The Pirates had two players compete in consolation brackets and another two competing in spare matches during the day.
In the #4 singles consolation finals, sophomore Courtney Kilarski (Roseville, Calif.) fell to FDU's Jessica DeCarlos, 8-5.
In the "Honor" singles consolation semifinals, junior Belfin Sunbul (Izmir, Turkey) fell to Syracuse's Christina Tan, 8-3.
Junior Slavina Kaplonska (Sofia, Bulgaria) and Liza Chu (Panama City, Panama) each won in "Country" singles matches. Kaplonska bested Marist's Julianna Vilas Boas, 8-6, and Chu topped Joanna Macaluso of Marist, 8-2.
The Pirates are back in action from October 10-12 at the USTA Tournament held In Flushing, N.Y.
