Grades are now in from the spring semester. The team scored high in the class room and special congrats to a few players. Liza- dean's list & graduated magna cum laude; Denise- graduated summa cum laude, made dean's list and earned finance citation at graduation; Michelle - dean's list.

This past weekend I had the chance to watch some talented students compete in a national tournament in Kentucky. Several of them are already expressing strong interest in Seton Hall.

We are completing a fun and successful spring break trip. Hopefully that success will continue as we begin the BIG EAST portion off our schedule.

The team support for each other is growing with each match. Last match I even heard a chorus of "Let's Go Pirates". It is enjoyable to watch this group grow stronger together each week.

We opened our spring season on the road at Princeton, who is currently ranked #44 in the nation. A very tough match that can only help us get better as the season continues.

Fall semester grades are now in. It is fantastic to see 55% of our team made the Dean's list. Those that did not were able to improve their GPA last semester.

Looking forward to this weekend to compete in our first fall tournament at Quinnipiac. All the players passed their fitness tests and are practicing strong. Time will now tell.

This year we will return all of our starting lineup with the exception of Danielle Viola who has graduated. We will miss Danielle's experience and leadership yet we have confidence that incoming freshmen Karina Cordero will help our program move forward.

The graduation rates for 2002-03 have been released. Our team achieved 100% which is alot stronger than national average for womens tennis which is 67%. At Seton Hall academics and graduating with a degree is very important.
