SOUTH ORANGE, N.J.- The Seton Hall women's tennis team had it's four match winning streak ended by Marquette on Saturday. The loss drops the Pirates spring record to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in the BIG EAST.
Junior Nadja Sein (Tallinn, Estonia) won the Pirates only singles match that was played in three sets. Sein dropped the first set, 3-6, but won the second, 6-3. The third set went to extra games where Sein prevailed. Junior Amanda El-Tobgy (Pittsburgh, Pa.) won the other singles match for the Hall after Marquette's No. 2 player went down with an injury.
In doubles play, the pair of Sylvia Jaros (Scarborough, Ontario) and Sein improved to 9-1 on the year with their victory, but the other two doubles squads fell to the Golden Eagles.
The Pirates travel to Syracuse on April 6 for a BIG EAST contest.
