Vincent Marcotrigiano joined Gerson Echeverry's staff at Seton Hall as an assistant coach beginning with the 2012 season.
In just his first year with Seton Hall Marcotrigiano helped lead the Pirates to their first BIG EAST Tournament berth since 2007. In five years with Marcotrigiano on staff, the Pirates have produced a total of six All-Conference honorees.
A former star at George Mason University, Marcotrigiano played professionally for six seasons and also brings more than a decade of college and club coaching experience with him to Seton Hall. He graduated from George Mason in 1997 after leading the Patriots to the NCAA Sweet 16 in addition to earning All-Colonial Conference honors.
Marcotrigiano debuted professionally for the State Island Vipers of the USL-A League, helping the team make back-to-back playoff appearances. He also played one season for the Long Island Rough Riders and three for the Harrisburg Heat of the NPSL/MISL, where he was teammates with Echeverry. Marcotrigiano was an assistant women's soccer coach for one season at Gettysburg College and spent one year coaching the U13 boys team for the Virginia Olympic Development Program.
He started coaching for the Georgia ODP in 2005 where he was involved with a number of different programs over a four-year period before gaining experience as a coach with four different club programs in Atlanta, Ga. Marcotrigiano was the director of coaching for the Roswell Santos Soccer Club and the Tophat Soccer Club, and worked with Georgia FC and the Buckhead Soccer Club, where he developed a new Jr. Academy program.
