Â
THE COURSE:
Galloway National Golf Club is a private, world-class, 18-hole championship golf course designed for the serious golfer. World renowned architect Tom Fazio meticulously crafted Galloway National's 7,000 yards out of a 200-acre tract of heavily wooded, gently sloping bayside property. "Galloway is one of my best ever," said Fazio. It is a dramatic and fair golf course designed to bring joy to the serious golfer. Natural contour changes, pine forest, sand and water are the "tools." Tees with breathtaking views, inviting fairways, challenging hazards, and beautifully situated greens are your reward.
Â
Galloway National is truly a special golfing experience. With so many outstanding holes carved from the sandy soil, lined with majestic pine trees, and boarded by the natural beauty of the bay, picking signature holes is a real challenge. Playing a strong 7111 yards from the back tees and 6645 from the member tees, Galloway National provides the type of challenge that serious golfers dream of conquering. The Galloway experience is one to be enjoyed every time you play the course. The beauty, charm and challenge of the course leaves you breathless, as does the incredible conditioning.

George Fricker (Woodbridge, England) was the lone Pirate to win two matches during the event. Against Northern Kentucky, he won a back-and-forth match against NKU's Grant Broughton, 1UP. Trailing by one hole after 16, Fricker birdied hole No. 17, while Broughton double-bogeyed to tie the score, and then parred No. 18, while Broughton bogeyed, to win the match.
