Fricker, Hennessee Guide Pirates in Round 2 in Palm Valley

GOODYEAR, ARIZ. – Graduate student George Fricker (Woodbridge, England) fired a 3-under-par, 69, to fuel the Seton Hall men's golf team in round two of the Loyola Intercollegiate on Monday.

Fricker had five birdies and 11 pars in route to Seton Hall's top round of the day. After two rounds, he's tied for 30th place among 119 golfers at 1-under-par with a 74-69-143. Grand Canyon's Campbell Kerr and Richmond's Carson Baez are tied for the individual lead at 11-under-par entering Tuesday's final round.

As a team, The Hall was two strokes better in round two with a 4-under-par, 284. After 36 holes, the Pirates are in ninth place with a 6-under-par, 286-284-570. Host Loyola (Md.) and Richmond remain tied for the team lead at 20-under-par.

Sophomore Will Hennessee (Tulsa, Okla.) is Seton Hall's top golfer after two rounds. In round two, he had six birdies and eight pars to power a 2-under-par, 70. Hennessee is currently tied for 21st place overall with a 3-under-par, 71-70-141. His two sub-par rounds this tournament give him seven this year in 16 total rounds.

Tied with Fricker for 30th place after two rounds are teammates David Lally (Wicklow, Ireland) and Eli Shah (Newtown Square, Pa.). Lally had three birdies and 11 pars in route to a 1-over-par, 73, on Tuesday, while Shah had three birdies and 12 pars to shoot an even-par, 72.

Senior Jack Bosworth (Daniel Island, S.C.) finished his second round with a 4-over-par, 76. He's currently 7-over-par with a 75-76-151 for the tournament.

Seton Hall's two freshmen are competing as individuals. Blake Goodnight (Dallas, Texas) had three birdies on his way to a 2-over-par, 74. For the tournament, he's tied for 59th place with a 1-over-par, 71-74-145. Jace Hulett (Boerne, Texas) also had three birdies and shot his second-consecutive a 1-over-par, 73. He's tied for 65th place with a 2-over-par, 73-73-146, after 36 holes.

Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

THE SCHEDULE:
The field will play 18 holes per day for three days, Sunday through Tuesday. A shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. PT all three days will begin competition. Seton Hall golfers will be paired with golfers from Loyola, NC State and Penn in round one, beginning on holes 5-7.
