GOODYEAR, ARIZ. - The Seton Hall men's golf team will open the 2026 spring season when it plays three rounds of golf at the Loyola Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz, Feb. 15-17.

THE COURSE:
Designed by renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills, Palm Valley Golf Club's Palms Course is one of the most popular championship Phoenix Arizona golf courses. The excellent layout provides a stiff challenge for accomplished players, yet it is flexible enough for novices to enjoy. One asset that sets Palm Valley Golf Club apart from other Phoenix Arizona golf courses is its diversity in play. The Palms Course has been rated among Arizona's best public golf courses by The Phoenix Business Journal, and the 18th hole is routinely cited by avid players as one of the best par-5s in the state.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Loyola, the massive field includes 19 other teams including:Â Air Force, Bucknell, Denver, Holy Cross, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Marshall, Missouri State, NC State, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Omaha, Pennsylvania, Richmond, SIU-Edwardsville, South Dakota, South Dakota State, UT-Martin and Utah Valley.

Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

LAST TIME AT PALM VALLEY:
Wenliang Xie shot a 1-under-par, 71, to lift the Seton Hall men's golf team to a seventh-place finish at the Loyola Intercollegiate in its most recent trip to Palm Valley in 2024.

Xie had three birdies and 13 pars to fuel the top Seton Hall effort in round three. For the tournament, he tied for 42nd place with a 1-under-par, 74-70-71-215. It's his 10th career sub-par tournament, which ranks his second on Seton Hall's career list. His 38 sub-par rounds also rank second-most.

As a team, The Hall shot a 4-over-par, 292, in round three, which slipped them two spots to a seventh-place finish in the large field of 20 teams. For the tournament, the Pirates were 10 under-par with a 286-276-292-854. North Dakota State won the team title at 40-under-par.

THE SCHEDULE:
The field will play 18 holes per day for three days, Sunday through Tuesday. A shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. PT all three days will begin competition. Seton Hall golfers will be paired with golfers from Loyola, NC State and Penn in round one, beginning on holes 5-7.
