
Pirates Venture West to Face the Saint Louis Billikens

South Orange, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's soccer (1-0-1_ looks to get back in the win column on Saturday when the Pirates travel to St. Louis, Mo. to take on the Saint Louis Billikens (1-0-1) in a high stakes non-conference matchup.
Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

- Saint Louis is 1-0-1 on the season, with their one win coming in a 1-0 upset win over then-ranked #5 SMU.
- In the A-10 Preseason Poll, the Billikens were voted to finish third in the conference with 149 points and 2 first-place votes.
- For his game-winning goal against SMU, Sophomore Andrew Heckenlaible was named A-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
- After an NCAA Tournament appearance last season, Saint Louis needed to rebuild their attack after losing their top two players in both goals and assists. Those four players combined for 48.5% of their points last season.
- Despite those losses, the Billikens returned Darke Fournier and Tanner Anderson, a pair of players who finished third on the team in assists and goals, respectively. The team also added transfers Quinten Blair and JC Cortez.
- Graduate Student goalkeeper Jeremi Abonnel, the 2024 A-10 Goalkeeper of the Year, was named to the A-10 Preseason All-Conference Team and is off to a flying start this season. After logging nine clean sheets last season, Frenchman is yet to allow a goal in two games despite facing 17 shots.

- Entering his eighth season at The Hall, Head Coach Andreas Lindberg is 4-1-2 in road openers during his tenure goal for versus goals against mark of 11-7.
- The lone loss came in 2019 when the Pirates fell 1-0 to then- No. 18-ranked FGCU on September 6.
- After collecting a pair of goals in the opening week, sophomore Mikkel Lejbowicz (Farum, Denmark) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on September 25.

- After transferring from Maryland, the Dane has made an immediate impact on a Pirates' attack that waned down the stretch last season. Lejbowicz came off the bench in the opener against Lafayette, logging a goal on two shots in only 18 minutes of play in a 2-0 Pirates victory. He started the second game against Rutgers, logging a career-high seven shots in addition to scoring a end-to-end unassisted goal in a 2-2 draw.
