Pirates Earn NABC Team Academic Award, Three Named to Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Seton Hall men's basketball team has been named a recipient of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Awards for the 2024-25 season, the organization announced Thursday. Additionally, three Pirates were named to the NABC Honors Court.
Seton Hall is one of five BIG EAST teams to earn the Team Academic Excellence Award after posting a 3.251 team GPA during the 2024-25 academic year. The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The trio of Pirates honored with the NABC Honors Court were Dylan Addae-Wusu, David Gabriel and Emmanuel Okorafor. This award includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
This marks the third time that a team led by head coach Shaheen Holloway has earned an NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, joining his 2022-23 Seton Hall team and his 2021-22 Saint Peter's squad. In total, 15 student-athletes coached by Holloway have been named to the NABC Honors Court.
