NEW YORK – Seton Hall baseball players Aiden Robbins (Yardley, Pa.) and Steven Svenson (Matawan, N.J.) were named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, while Kevin Milewski (Wallingford, Conn.) earned Second Team honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Â
Robbins had one of the best offensive seasons in Seton Hall baseball history, winning the BIG EAST batting title with a remarkable .422 bating average. In 53 games, he was the lone player in the conference to bat over .400, and provided a formidable leadoff presence. Named BIG EAST Player of the Week once and to the Weekly Honor Roll twice, he clubbed six home runs and stole 20 bases in 21 attempts. Robbins' .422 batting average ranks seventh-best in program history and is the highest in 28 years. His 86 hits this season ranks fifth-most in a single-season in Seton Hall history.
Â
Svenson took the BIG EAST by storm as a freshman, quickly elevating to become Seton Hall's Friday starter. The right-hander finished second in the BIG EAST among conference games with a sparkling 2.15 ERA and hitters batted only .179 against him. Svenson allowed more than two earned runs only once over his last seven starts of the season and had the second-lowest WHIP on the team, walking only 16 batters in 51.0 innings pitched.
Â
Milewski had an all-time power season for The Hall, clubbing 16 home runs, which is tied for fourth-most in a single-season in program history. The catcher also showed a penchant for the big moment, blasting a ninth-inning grand slam on his birthday at Xavier on May 2, and a three-run walk-off shot against Georgetown on May 9.  Named BIG EAST Player of the Week once and to the Weekly Honor Roll twice, Milewski batted .303 for the season and ranked fourth in the BIG EAST with 58 RBI.
