
Four Pirates Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

South Orange, N.J. - Four members of the Seton Hall women's tennis team have been recognized by College Sports Communicators (CSC) for their academic prowess. Named CSC Div. I Academic All-District are graduate student Paige Wise and sophomores Imogen Brooker, Niamh Campbell and Anastasia Sereda.Â
To be considered for Academic All-District, nominees must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore academically and participate in at least 70 percent of a team's contests that included a team score, not including exhibitions.
Wise is working on her Master of Business Administration in Business Analytics at Seton Hall after earning her bachelor's degree at Northwestern State. She consistently competed at the top of the lineup for the Pirates and won two regular season matches against BIG EAST foes and had two matches go to a third set. In the BIG EAST Tournament first round, she topped Valerie Negin in the No. 2 position to help the Pirates advance past Creighton.
Brooker is a Diplomacy and International Relations major at Seton Hall and had a 19-12 singles record for the Pirates this season, including 10-9 in spring duals. She was a fall ITA Regionals singles qualifier, won two BIG EAST matches during the regular season and scored a BIG EAST Tournament win over Creighton's Ana Paula Martinez to help the Pirates reach the tournament quarterfinals.
Campbell is a Visual and Sound Media major at Seton Hall and was a workhorse in doubles, competing 28 times and winning 10 matches. She partnered with Wise to earn a BIG EAST doubles win over Providence's Allison Root and Flora Eidson in the No. 1 position, helping the Pirates to a 7-0 sweep of the Friars.
Sereda is a Finance major at Seton Hall who played at or near the top of the lineup all season. She ran a 14-13 overall singles record, qualified for the ITA Regionals and won one regular season BIG EAST match with two others going to a third set. She defeated UConn's Olivia Wright in the BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinals, helping the Pirates nearly upset the Huskies.
