
Career-Best Swims Shine During Bucknell Invitational Opening Night

LEWISBURG, PA. – On the opening night of the Bucknell Invitational, Seton Hall women's swimming and diving put up a collection of career-best finals swims.
Diving
On the three-meter board, freshman Daphne Powell topped the scores for the Pirates with a score of 188.45. Amy Kugelman and Sarah Behrman came in not far behind Powell with scores of 176.90 and 172.10, respectively.
Swimming
To open the Pirates' individual program for the weekend, Zeynep Aysoy went to work in the B final. The Turk swam an evenly-paced race to third place in the heat with a personal-best time of 4:59.36.
As things moved on to the 200 IM, a pair of Pirates newcomers found themselves competing in the C final. Sophomore Bianka Bukovics finished as the top Pirate swimmer with a career-best time of 2:05.89. Meanwhile, freshman Lindsay Naber swam her way to a time of 2:08.77 in finals.
In the final individual event of the night, the 50 freestyle, Naima Hazell touched the wall with a time of 23.74 in the B final.
What's Next
The Pirates will continue with the second day of the Bucknell Invitational tomorrow morning, Nov. 22. Prelims will begin at 10 a.m. each day, while finals will begin at 6 p.m.
