Location:Â Bandon, Ore.
Course:Â Bandon Dunes Golf Course
Course Vitals:Â Par-72, 6,676 yards
Dates:Â March 12-14, 2023
Â
THE COURSE:
Bandon Dunes is true to the spirit of Scotland's ancient links. Here, players immerse themselves in the traditions of a timeless game and the grandeur of Oregon's rugged coast. Sweeping, untamed shores stretch for miles. Primeval grassy dunes roll to the sea.
Â
It began in 1999 with the opening of Bandon Dunes. Designed by Scotsman David McLay Kidd, the course is perched on a bluff high above the Pacific Ocean. Bandon Dunes unfolds along pristine native dunes where expansive ocean views are revealed on nearly every hole. The course is completely natural and routed through an environment of indigenous vegetation. Beyond breathtaking scenery lies the game of golf in its truest form. This is a thinker's course. Winds are ever-present, and the varying elements create a new experience each time you play.
Â
THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Idaho, the highly-competitive field includes 16 other teams including:Â Air Force, Boise State, Drexel, Fresno State, James Madison, Long Beach State, Oregon, Oregon State, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle University, SIU Edwardsville, South Dakota, Utah and Washington State.
