
Pirates Fall on Road to Army

West Point, N.Y. – Seton Hall women's swimming and diving fell to Army on the road by a final score of 181-113.
Natalie Heim (Middletown, N.J.) took home a victory in the 100 Free, touching the wall with a time of 52.19. Heim also took home a second place finish in the 200 Free, finishing the race with a time of 1:53.78. Mandy Zajdzinski (Mesa, Ariz.) finished just behind Heim in third place with a time of 1:54.65.
Julie Stampe (Allerid-Birkerod, Denmark) picked up a trio of second place finishes on the day. Her first came in the 100 Back, completing the race with a time of 58.17. Her second place finish in the 200 Back came in 2:05.59, while her 200 IM time was 2:10.88. Stampe also swam the first leg of the 200 Medley Relay in which the Pirates took third.
In diving, Nikki Pawar (Lawrenceville, N.J.) and Laura Stavila (Oakland, Calif.) both earned top-three finishes in the 1M and 3M events. Pawar took second in the 1M with a score of 207.38, just ahead of Stavila's third-place score of 202.58. The duo flip-flopped their finishes in the 3M, with Stavila taking second and Pawar claiming third.
The Pirates have two weeks off before beginning a stretch of three consecutive home meets, starting with a matchup with Monmouth on Oct. 28 at 3 p.m.
