
Pirates Finish Up Day Three at BIG EAST Championships

Geneva, Ohio – The Seton Hall women's swimming team finished up Day Three in the pool at the 2021 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday night.
To start the night, the Seton Hall placed three Pirates in the finals with Savannah Kennedy (Fishers, Ind.), Lexi Kolodgie (Baltimore, Md.) and Heidi Dickson (Greenwich, N.J.) all qualifying. Dickson swam a new personal-best time of 4:29.98 in the event.
The Hall would have another four Pirates qualify for finals in the 100 Fly: Sarah Frie (Waterford, Va.), Sierra Cripps (Seymour, Conn.), Josie McCartney (Verona, Wisc.) and Amelia Wootton (Bethel, Conn.). McCartney and Wootton would each swim personal-best times at 56.34 and 56.85, respectively with McCartney earning a sixth-place finish. Cripps would take fifth for the Pirates swimming a finals time of 55.76.
Seton Hall would have two freshmen, Natalie Heim and Amanda Zajdzinski qualify for finals in the 200 Free with Heim taking first in the consolation finals with a new personal-best time of 1:50.73, good enough for a top-10 score in program history.
The Hall would as two more top-10 swims in program history with Meredith Mutter (Pottstown, Penn.) (1:05.66) and Nicole Bastian (1:06.34) in the 100 Breaststroke. Bastian's time would also qualify as a lifetime best.
In the final individual event of the night, Marianne Molloy (Toms River, N.J.), Madeline Field (Wheaton, Ill.) and Julie Stankiewicz (Metuchen, N.J.) would all compete in the 100 Back Finals. Stankiewicz touched the wall in a time of 56.54, Molloy in a time of 57.22 and Field in a time of 57.39.
