
Pirates Wrap Up Day One at BIG EAST Championships

Geneva, Ohio – The Seton Hall women's swimming team finished with two strong showings in the relay events to open the 2021 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday night.
The Pirates started things off with a fourth-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay finishing with a time of 1:44.44. The relay team consisting of Julie Stankiewicz (Metuchen, N.J.), Nicole Bastian, Sierra Cripps (Seymour, Conn.) and Cornelia Jerresand (Taeby, Sweden) finished the event just 1.44 seconds off of the school record.
In the second and final relay event of the evening, the Pirates took fourth again this time in the 800 Free Relay. Stankiewicz again led off for the Pirates followed by Natalie Heim, Madeleine Bachand (Raleigh, N.C.) and Amelia Wootton (Bethel, Conn.) to wrap things up for the Pirates in night one.
