
Bench Helps No. 25 Seton Hall Defeat Nyack College, 113-67

South Orange, N.J. - Three 20-point scorers off the bench lifted the 25th-ranked Seton Hall men's basketball team to a resounding 113-67 victory over Nyack College inside historic Walsh Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Graduate student Jamir Harris (North Brunswick, N.J.) led all scorers with 23 points on 6-of-10 shooting from three-point range. Junior Tyrese Samuel (Montreal, Quebec) had a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebound and junior Tray Jackson (Detroit, Mich.) finished with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field.
The Pirates (7-1) remain undefeated as a home team this season (5-0) entering a critical two-game stretch Prudential Center against No. 7 Texas on Dec. 9 and in-state foe Rutgers on Dec. 12.

How It Happened
Nyack started off the game hot offensively, going up by six, 15-9, with 13:39 to go in the first half. The Pirates used a 10-1 run, capped off by back-to-back three-pointers by Harris, that gave The Hall the lead for good at 19-17 with 11:31 before halftime.
The Pirates extended their lead to 48-29 on another made trey by Harris but the Warriors wouldn't back down as they used a 5-0 run to cut their deficit to 14, 48-34, heading into the locker room.
Nyack trimmed the Seton Hall lead down to as little as 11 early in the second half before the Pirates turned up the notch offensively. Senior Jared Rhoden (Baldwin, N.Y. ) scored six points in a 13-2 spurt that extended the Pirates' advantage to 22, 63-41, with 14:59 to play in the game. Seton Hall's lead never got smaller than 19 from that point on and its lead got as large as 46.
