Omaha, Neb. - Senior Sandro Mamukelashvili (Tbilisi, Georgia) scored 14 points, but the Seton Hall men's basketball team was unable to get things going at No. 7 Creighton, falling to the Bluejays, 89-53, Wednesday night at CHI Health Center Omaha.

Creighton shot 59.6 percent for the game (34-for-57) and made 13 three-pointers on the night.

The loss snaps Seton Hall's three-game winning streak, but the Pirates remain in the top third of the BIG EAST Conference with their 5-2 record.

Turning Point
Creighton made its first seven shots of the night, three of them triples, to build an early 17-4 lead over the Pirates, who just didn't get anything going on either of the court. Seton Hall was only able to cut the deficit to seven while the game was still in its infancy.

Inside the Numbers

Seton Hall shot 33 percent for the night (17-for-51), 17 percent from deep (3-for-18) and 59 percent at the free throw line (16-for-27). Creighton shot 60 percent for the night (34-for-57), 54 percent from three (13-for-24) and 80 percent at the free throw line (8-for-10).
Creighton had the rebounding edge, 34-29, but the Pirates did use 13 offensive rebounds to generate nine second chance points.
Mamukelashvili led the Pirates with 14 points and five rebounds.
Junior Jared Rhoden (Baldwin, N.Y.) had 10 points and made all six of his free throw attempts.
Senior Myles Cale (Middletown, Del.) added nine points.
Damien Jefferson led Creighton with 19 points.

Despite the loss, Seton Hall still leads the all-time series over Creighton, 14-9.
This is Seton Hall's first three-game losing streak in the series.
The loss snapped Seton Hall's three-game winning streak against AP top-10 teams.
Mamukelashvili moved up to 58th all-time in Seton Hall scoring history; he now has 865 career points.
Cale moved into a tie for 65th all-time, and he now stands at 825 career points.
