S-H-U. A battle for SHUpremacy!Â
So…we're playing Sacred Heart University tomorrow night. It's SHU vs SHU. Hmmm….#HALLin pic.twitter.com/ugy4wtLL8o

For the first time ever on the hardwood, Seton Hall and Sacred Heart will put their initials to the test to see who can really lay claim to the S-H-U. And unless one of these schools schedules Div. II Seton Hill University someday, this is the lone clash for the right to these fabulous three consecutive letters.
Â
Wednesday's game will be televised on the FS2 with Rich Ackerman and Jim Spanarkel on the call. You can also catch it on the FOX Sports app. Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin will bring the holiday cheer and the action on AM970 The Answer, simulcast on XM 380, the Pirate Sports Network and the SHU Pirates Mobile App.

Three Things to Know About Wednesday's Battle for SHUpremacy
Â1. Keep Controlling Possessions
Despite what you may have heard or thought, Seton Hall is really good at not turning the ball over. The Pirates only average 10.9 giveaways per game, good for 19th in the nation. That's pretty strong for a squad that has four new starters this season. Seton Hall will need to continue that trend against a Sacred Heart defense that is struggling to create turnovers (11.3 per game).
Â
2. Quincy vs. His Old Team
Junior point guard Quincy McKnight is facing his old squad, having played for the Pioneers for two seasons before transferring to Seton Hall in 2017. McKnight was an All-NEC player for Sacred Heart, averaging 18.9 points a game during his sophomore season. He may in fact be the only student-athlete to ever suit up for two S-H-U schools.
Â
3. Defense is Always Key
Seton Hall has been strong defensively this season, having only allowed one team to shoot better than 50 percent from the field (Miami) and only one team to make 40 percent of its three-pointers. Against a fellow NEC team this season, Wagner, the Pirates held the Seahawks to 49 points and 32 percent shooting from the field.
